In the '90s, the miracle of fen-phen to lose weight was linked to valvular heart disease. Now, the new miracle drugs are linked to brittle bones. Does anyone know if it's the drug, or is it a matter of not getting enough nutrients and therefore losing bone mass because you eat less?
I think the body is too complex to have a drug target one area without having side effects in other areas. I suspect that a weight loss drug that does not have consequences is not possible.

How hard is it to have brittle bones develop from malnutrition? I figure it would be quite difficult… unless people are absolutely crash dieting from too much glp1 drugs, that shouldn’t be a problem.

Seems they were already at risk, perhaps malnutrition broke the camels back.
